Military Spouse Scholarships for HPU Online Education
Hawai‘i Pacific University (HPU) is pleased to announce the Military Spouse Scholarship Program. The 25% scholarship is offered to non-active duty spouses of active duty military (and Coast Guard, and members of the Reserve/National Guard) whose active duty/military spouses are:
- Currently enrolled HPU students
- OR
- Who are deployed in excess of 60 days
The scholarship offers spouses a 25% Tuition reduction for Military Campus Programs (MCP) undergraduate and graduate tuition (excluding fees).
Who is eligible?
Category 1: Spouses of HPU students who currently serve in the military on active duty, Coast Guard, or are Reserves/National Guard (w/ red ID Card). Spouse must hold a valid military ID card to verify status. Spouse/sponsor concurrent enrollment required.
Category 2: Current HPU students who are spouses of active duty, Coast Guard, Reserves, and National Guard serving on active duty deployed in excess of 60 consecutive days and deployed service member is or will become a student with Hawai‘i Pacific University.
Category 3: New student applicants who are spouses of active duty, Coast Guard, Reserves, or National Guard deployed in excess of 60 consecutive days. Deployed service members need not be a current HPU student.
To be eligible for the tuition discount, deployment must overlap MCP term dates. Discount applies if service member is deployed at any time within the term dates.
Not Eligible: Active duty spouses of deployed service members who are themselves eligible to receive military tuition assistance or veterans education benefits (G.I. Bill) are not eligible for the scholarship.
