HPU Named 2008 Top Military Friendly College and University Honoree

(HONOLULU, HI – Jan. 5, 2009) For the second year in a row, Hawai‘i Pacific University has been selected as one of Military Advanced Education's Top Military Friendly Colleges and Universities Honorees for 2008. Selections are based on the institution's favorable policies toward men and women in uniform.
"On behalf of KMI Media Group, I would like to congratulate the entire staff at HPU for the inspired effort the University puts into making it easier for our men and women in uniform to advance their careers by enhancing their educations," said Glenn R. HPU supports military education from associate through master's degrees, offers spouse scholarships, and manages five National Testing Centers. The University educates almost 3,000 military affiliated students with an annual enrollment of about 16,000 at all Oahu military installations and globally through online courses. HPU's professional advising staff assists students from application to graduation.

Hawai‘i Pacific University is the state's largest private university with more than 8,000 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. HPU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the Council on Social Work Education, and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
