Financial Aid for the Online MBA Program

U.S. citizens and permanent residents interested in applying for financial aid can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It will take one or two weeks to process the form and provide HPU with the information it needs to process your financial aid award. You will need our federal school code to complete the FAFSA: 007279. Generally, students applying to the MBA program are eligible for subsidized and unsubsidized loans. To apply for financial aid now, please click here for FAFSA.

Corporate Tuition Assistance

For students that are currently working full-time, many corporations will offer partial or complete financial assistance for their employees to return to postsecondary school. These services are offered so that employees may receive training for their current positions to enhance their performance on the job, and may require the employee to remain at their corporation for a certain amount of time. This form of financial aid also requires the employee select a major of study relevant to their job title. Contact us today to see if your employer is one of the thousands of corporations that provide financial assistance for college.

Federal Loans

Federal loans – Stafford and PLUS loans – are available through the government to graduate students who are enrolled at least half time (6 credits) in a degree-seeking program.

The U.S. Department of Education funds these loans to help students pay for their school expenses. To be considered for these federal loan programs, you must complete the FAFSA. Repayment of the Stafford loans begins after the student graduates. Students must exhaust their subsidized/unsubsidized Stafford loan annual eligibility before seeking a Grad PLUS Loan.

A Hawai‘i Pacific University enrollment counselor is available to guide you through the FAFSA application process. Contact us to learn more.

Private Loans

A number of private educational loans are available, and most structured like the Federal Direct Loan. However, interest rates and loan fees tend to run higher and usually there is no interest rate cap on these loans. Private loans are also credit based.
