Online MA/OC Degrees: Program Features

  • The MA/OC may be completed as full or part-time study, with multiple start dates.
  • When you study organizational change at HPU you will benefit from the ways the curriculum content is designed and delivered. The entire program and all courses are designed with professional learning needs in mind.
  • Program design and delivery is consistent. All courses are based on the same user-friendly and easy-to-use interface. Learning expectations and processes focus on applications, cases, and discussions appropriate to real organizational issues and challenges. The assignment system is flexible, including state of the art readings, virtual team discussions, and group centered simulations and projects. The learning outcomes and deliverables ultimately permit students to become credible sources of change and development knowledge in all professional contexts.
  • The distance learning approach to the MA/OC is based on multiple teaching methods. Hawai‘i Pacific University's software, Blackboard Learn 9.1, is supported by online discussions, conference calls, and other means that ensure the interactive advantages of traditional education remain part of the distance learning experience.

Dr. Arthur Whatley, a Professor of the Organizational Change program, quotes, "In our contemporary global context, leaders of governments and businesses need the perspectives and skills offered by the Organizational Change program at HPU. Leading successful change and development initiatives is a necessary requirement for our sustainable futures. Studying organizational change at HPU will prepare current and future professionals for the challenges of globally-appropriate leadership."
