Our Mission and Values

Hawai‘i Pacific University is an international learning community set in the rich cultural context of Hawai‘i. Students from around the world join us for an American education built on a liberal arts foundation. Our innovative undergraduate and graduate programs anticipate the changing needs of the community and prepare our graduates to live, work, and learn as active members of a global society.

Home to over 5,000 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, we offer a unique combination of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. We’ve worked hard to build a learning environment where everyone feels included and empowered to make a positive impact in their communities.

Our commitment to inclusion is directly evidenced in our value system of pono, kuleana, and aloha. These enduring Hawai’ian values color everything we do, including how we educate students in our online graduate programs.
