Rojan Baniya
Rojan Baniya earned his doctorate in tourism, hospitality, and event management from the University of Florida's (UF) College of Health and Human Performance in 2022. He is currently working at Hawai'i Pacific University as a visiting assistant professor.
Rojan holds an MBA from Kathmandu University in Nepal and an MA in Marketing Research from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He has ten years of experience in marketing research, including five in the classroom and five in the business world.
From 2013 to 2018, Rojan was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Kathmandu University before he enrolled in the Ph.D. program at UF. He oversaw the university's research, consulting, and training arm, called the Enterprise and Management Development Center, during his time at Kathmandu University. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a Research Project Manager for Brand Asset Consulting at Y&R on Madison Avenue in New York City, and from 2008 to 2009 he was a Marketing Research Analyst for Maritz Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri.
Rojan is well-versed in a wide range of industries, having worked with Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, finance, technology, media/entertainment, hospitality, retail, and e-commerce with great success.
